Car Parking and Wheelchair Provision

Around Tate Modern parking is severely restricted. Nine parking spaces for disabled visitors are available on the west side of the building. There are ten wheelchairs and two electric scooters available on request for use by visitors.

Reservations are compulsory for all parking spaces. To reserve a parking space or a wheelchair for Tate Modern or Tate Britain, email ticketing@tate.org.uk or call 020 7887 8888. Please give at least 24 hours' notice.

Entrances to the Gallery

There are two entrances to the gallery:

Entry for wheelchairs, prams, and buggies is via the River Entrance or via the Café Entrance situated next to the Main Entrance ramp.

Guide Dogs

Tate Modern welcomes guide dogs and hearing dogs. A water bowl is available at the cloakroom on Level 1.

Concessionary Tickets and Carers' Entry

Tate offers to all visitors with a disability a concessionary rate to enter the exhibitions at all four galleries. Carers' entrance is free. Concessionary rates vary and are listed on the individual exhibitions' ticketing pages. Concessionary rates also apply to Senior Citizens, ES40 card-holders and students in full-time education.

Stools

Stools are available in the galleries and can be picked up from the concourses on levels 3, 4 and 5. Please ask a member of staff or at the information desks. Benches can be found in a number of galleries. Additional seating is provided in the Turbine Hall and concourses and in the surrounding landscape.

Telephones

Card and cash pay phones are situated on Levels 1 and 2 under the staircase.

Toilets and Cloakrooms

Fully accessible toilets are located on each floor. The cloakroom is situated on Level 1.

Lifts

There are four lifts which are situated by the main stairs on the concourses of each floor. These provide access to all levels.

Baby Care Room

The Baby Care Room is found on Level 1. Additional nappy-changing facilities are available in the toilets on each floor.
